Alright Ensign Students. Between all those nights out on the town, We know you need study advice, so the first piece of wisdom we have to give is this:

Studying outside your bedroom can help you be more productive!

For the days when you have extra time around Ensign College and Salt Lake City, we compiled a list of places for students to sit down and grind out that homework.

Here are our 4 favorite places for Ensign College students to study! All of these are completely free to you, and if you’re interested in other budget-friendly Salt Lake activities, check out this post!

1. Ensign College Library

This may be obvious, but it must be said! The Ensign College library has its perks. It covers two floors and accommodates different kinds of study environments.

The first level is known as the quiet floor. It has many individual study cubbies for the Ensign student who needs personal privacy and some peace and quiet.

The second level, however, can be a much livelier place for the student who doesn't mind a little background noise. It has those same personal study cubbies, along with large tables to spread out homework.

If you want an extra screen (or two) while you work on assignments, monitors are here and equipped with adapters ready to connect your laptop.

Lastly, we can't forget the private study rooms with TVs you can connect to. It's first come first serve for these rooms, unless it's already been reserved, which we highly recommend you do!

2. The Summit

The Summit is THE PLACE TO BE! Since the pandemic, instead of a food court, this place was changed to a lounge for students to take some time to destress and move around so that they can rejuvenate and be ready to do well in their classes!

There is a lot of seating and is a great place to go outside the Ensign College building to study. After all, some people focus better when there is a little noise and a change of scenery.

There's an area in The Summit to get snacks and drinks, and also activities that happen throughout the week to give students a chance to get to know one another and find people to study with.

If you find yourself there throughout the week, don’t be afraid to meet new people and have some fun while studying!

3. The Salt Lake City Public Library
